Marko is an international student from Serbia at the Theological Faculty at the KU Leuven in Belgium at the Advanced Master Program. He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies at the Eastern Orthodox Theological Faculty at the University of Belgrade. Furthermore, he has a master’s degree in Law from Belgrade University and in Theology and Religious Studies from the Free University in Amsterdam. Marko worked as a teacher of Eastern Orthodox Theology in Serbia for seven years. He is interested in the position of women in the Eastern Orthodox Church. His mother tongue is Serbian (Croatian, Montenegrin, and Bosnian), he also speaks English and would like to learn Russian or Spanish. Marko has been volunteering for two years as a teacher of Eastern Orthodox theology at the Serbian Orthodox Church in Amsterdam. Reading about history and art, as well as going to the theatre and museums, are his passions. He spends a few days in monasteries during a Pilgrimage to Mount Athos in Greece every year.
